Letting the console reach Revit
The console drives Revit through the Syncture add-in on your own computer, over a connection that never leaves it. Browsers ask once before a website may reach apps on the device. Allow is all it needs. If the browser was told to block it, the console cannot see Revit until the site is allowed again.
Chrome
- 1
Open the site's settings
Click the icon at the left of the address bar, beside syncture.com, then Site settings.
- 2
Allow apps on this device
Set Apps on device to Allow. Chrome 142 to 144 call the same switch Local network access.
- 3
Try again
Back in the console, open the Revit button at the top right and press Try again, or reload the page.
Microsoft Edge
- 1
Open the site's permissions
Click the lock icon at the left of the address bar, then Permissions for this site.
- 2
Allow apps on this device
Set the permission for apps on this device to Allow. Edge follows Chrome's name for it, Apps on device or Local network access, depending on its version.
- 3
Try again
Back in the console, open the Revit button at the top right and press Try again, or reload the page.
Firefox
- 1
Open the site's permissions
Click the permissions icon at the left of the address bar and clear the block on Device apps and services. Or open Settings, then Privacy & Security, and under Permissions choose Settings beside Device apps and services.
- 2
Allow syncture.com
Set syncture.com to Allow.
- 3
Try again
Back in the console, open the Revit button at the top right and press Try again, or reload the page.
Brave, Opera and Vivaldi
They are built on Chrome and follow its steps. Brave names its switch Localhost access.
For a company
Allow the site once, for every browser you manage, and nobody is asked.
In Chrome and Edge, add https:/ to the LocalNetworkAccessAllowedForUrls policy. In Firefox, add syncture.com to SkipDomains in the LocalNetworkAccess policy.
