Element ownership
Syncture preserves Revit's element ownership, so two people cannot edit the same wall at once.
History that does not expire
Versions are deduplicated across the account, so a year of publishing is not a year of gigabytes.

Only changed bytes travel, so even a large model syncs quickly over an ordinary site connection.
Migration to a newer Revit
A whole folder is copied into the release you choose, with links rebound and worksets kept.
Renaming and moving

Zero corruption by design.
A central is the one file an office cannot lose, so nothing Syncture does to it goes unchecked.
Every byte verified
Each piece of a model is named by its SHA-256 fingerprint and checked when it is sent, when it arrives, and before Revit opens it.
Nothing installed halfway
A version lands complete or not at all. An install cut short by a crash or a power cut is found and replaced before Revit opens it.
Your work is never overwritten
Work your computer has not published yet is never replaced by somebody else's version, and never discarded to make a sync succeed.
A dropped connection loses nothing
If the internet goes mid-sync, your turn is held for up to twelve hours and the sync finishes when the connection returns.
Ownership enforced at the file
Revit can take an element only with the service's answer. Until then Windows itself refuses Revit's write to the ownership file.
No surprise upgrades
Opening a model in a newer Revit gives you a detached copy. The team's model stays in its release until you move it with Migrate.
Every sync reaches your team complete, or not at all. Nobody ever opens half a model, and every earlier version is always there to go back to.

Your IT puts the bucket's credential on each machine, and it never reaches Syncture.

Every statement about Autodesk's products was read on Autodesk's own pages on 10 October 2026. The comparison takes itself down 90 days after that day.
Autodesk also includes document management and clash detection, which Syncture does not have. Revit is needed with both and is not counted.

Hi, I'm Osama. I'm an AEC Solutions Architect in Vienna.
I build tools for architects and engineers, obsess over the way things work, and wear black almost every day.
I spent years keeping other people's Revit models working. Two offices on one model meant a VPN or a synced folder, and one bad sync could cost someone a day. I know how a lost backup or a Revit migration can ruin a BIM manager's week.
Cloud services like Forma Design Collaboration fixed the connection but charged per person and only saved what someone published. Their data security meant encryption under keys Autodesk held, so every model was only as private as Autodesk kept it. So practices left partner offices, consultants and subcontractors out of the model, and last month's version was often gone. Fewer people shaped the design, confidential projects stayed offline, and nobody could trust its history.
So I built Syncture. It runs Revit's own worksharing over the internet, keeps every sync and migrates whole folders to newer Revit versions. In a workspace created with encryption on, every file is locked on your own computer with a key only you hold. It charges one price for the whole office, so nobody you share with needs a seat. I write the code and answer every email myself.
